Lieutenant Colonel Rudolph J. Bartley

Lt. Col. Rudolph J. Bartley is the Commander, 624th Civil Engineer Squadron, 624th Regional Support Group, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. In this position, he is responsible for organizing, training and equipping traditional reservists composed of more than 130 Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force team members and firefighters. This responsibility also includes rapid deployment worldwide to construct and maintain airfield facilities, provide firefighting support, and coordinate planning for any disasters.

Lt. Col. Bartley enlisted into the Air Force in 1987. He served on active duty for four years before transferring to the Air Force Reserve in 1991. Lt. Col. Bartley received his commission through the Officer Training School at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee in 2002. During his first assignment he served as an engineer officer for the 940th Civil Engineer Squadron at Beale Air Force Base, Calif. Lt. Col. Bartley transitioned to Operations Flight Chief and later to Mobility Flight Commander. He served as the Commander of the 583rd Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers Squadron, Beale Air Force Base, before transferring to the 922nd Civil Engineer Flight in September 2015. Lt. Col. Bartley has deployed in support of operations ENDURING FEEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. He also performed a tour in Nicaragua as the Chief Engineer for the Combined Joint Task Force Chinandega in support of Exercise NEW HORIZON. Prior to his current position, Lt. Col. Bartley served as the Chief of Operations and Training for the 922nd Civil Engineer Flight, S-Team, Air Force Reserve Command, March Air Reserve Base, Calif.

In his civilian capacity, Lt. Col. Bartley retired from Pacific Gas and Electric Company after 22 years of service. He last held the position of Senior Manager of Substation Engineering.
