Reservist “port dawgs” get down and dirty at MCBH's Swamp Romp 2013
From top left, Senior Airman Rechelle L. Ancheta, an air transportation craftsman with the 48th Aerial Port Squadron, 624th Regional Support Group, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Tech. Sgt. Jahnna K. Burns, also an air transportation craftsman with the 48th APS, and 2nd Lt. Janet M. Hudson, chief of personnel for the 624th RSG, climb over the last obstacle in the 19th Annual Swamp Romp, at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013. The 5-mile footrace, affectionately called “the dirtiest race of the year,” takes runners through mud, water, dirt and sand, and over and under obstacles that challenge even the fittest of the fit. The annual Swamp Romp is open to service members and civilians, and is one of eleven races that make up the MCBH Commanding Officer’s Fitness Series. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Phyllis E. Keith)
