Who We Are

The 624th Regional Support Group is the largest Air Force Reserve presence in the Pacific and has four units located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, and two units at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The Group is headquartered in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. 

We are Pacific Warriors who provide throughput of cargo, passengers, patients and runway repair in the Pacific. Situated in Hawaii and Guam, we draw inspiration for the warrior spirit from the people and culture of the Pacific islands.

The 624th RSG delivers mission essential capability for the Air Force Reserve Command to Combatant Commanders through combat readiness, quality management, peacetime deployment, and execution of seven geographically separated units located in Hawaii and Guam.

Resources

The Group provides nearly 650 Combat Ready Airmen who specialize in aerial port, aeromedical support and civil engineering operations, and continuously maintains operational capability, strategic depth, and surge capacity to support missions across the globe. 

Most RSG members are traditional reservists who serve in the military on a part-time basis, participating in a minimum of one weekend a month and two-weeks of annual training each year. The full-time staff consists of approximately 35 Air Reserve Technicians, Active Guard/Reserve personnel and civilians.

The 624th Regional Support Group consists of the headquarters staff, which includes the Operating Location-Alpha, Force Support Flight, 624th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, 624th Civil Engineer Squadron, 48th Aerial Port Squadron, 44th Aerial Port Squadron, and 624th Aerospace Medicine Flight. The Group is one of two Air Force Reserve locations in the Pacific area of responsibility and reports directly to the 4th Air Force, which is headquartered at March Air Reserve Base, Calif.

624th RSG Headquarters Staff & OL-A Staff

The 624th RSG Headquarters Staff and Operating Location-Alpha staff includes the Inspector General, Commander's Support Staff, Plans and Programs, Safety, Resource Advisor, Financial Management, Continuous Process Improvement, Development and Training Flight, Yellow Ribbon Program, Cyber Operations, Logistics Readiness,  Material Management, and Public Affairs.

The headquarters and OL-A staff provides a full complement of services to both ready and inactive reserve personnel, active-duty military members, their families, and the retired military community in Hawaii and Guam.

Heritage

The Group official stood up on Jan. 1, 2002 and reports to 4th Air Force, March Air Reserve Base, Calif.. The 624 RSG was previously Detachment 1, reporting to 604th Regional Support Group, March Air Reserve Base, Calif.
