Reservist prepares to light base tower for 10th straight year

Tech. Sgt. Hugh B. Campbell, an Air Force Reserve electrician with the 624th Civil Engineering Squadron, 624th Regional Support Group here, poses for a photo beside his truck at the 647th Civil Engineering Squadron where he works full time as a civilian electrician for NAVFAC, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 10, 2013. Every November, Campbell oversees the installation of holiday lights at Freedom Tower at Hickam Field here. Planning and executing the tower lighting is no small feat—the 171 foot-high tower requires 96 strings with a total of 7863 incandescent light bulbs which can take three to four weeks to prepare and install.
