Hawaii Reservists compete in AFRC Port Dawg Challenge

Six Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 48th Aerial Port Squadron based out of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, participated in the 4th biennial Air Force Reserve Command's Port Dawg Challenge at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga., April 27, 2017. The 48th APS was one of 23 teams competing in the 4th biennial Air Force Reserve Command's Port Dawg Challenge, which was designed to test and maintain the camaraderie of aerial port Airmen while promoting professionalism, leadership, training and communication between "Port Dawgs." The 48th APS is a component of the Air Force Reserve, providing expertise in all areas of air terminal operations to include aircraft loading, cargo processing and inspecting, passenger services, aircraft fleet services and aerial port command and control.
