JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM -- When Master Sgt. William Beyer decided to join the Air Force 11 years ago, he had good examples to follow.
“I serve because my father served in the Navy and my two older brothers served in the Air Force, as well,” said Beyer, 48th Aerial Port Squadron member, “I am glad I joined the Air Force and have learned more than I could have imagined. Traveling the world has made me more a knowledgeable SNCO and will pass down the information to the junior enlisted.”
Beyer was the senior noncommissioned officer third quarter of 2021. During this time, he coordinated 107 loads of cargo, supervised 105 members during nine redeployment missions, provided Somalia Barracuda Teams with vital security force training and was responsible for training Seal Team 10 on pallet build-up. He also raised over $15,000 during the French Wounded Warrior fundraiser and 6k run.
Off-duty, he enjoys spending his time playing video games with his stepson Kalen, quality time with daughter Norah and wife Emma. Since 18, he started getting tattoos and has gotten one every year. Now he is 30 years old and has several tattoos, with plans to get more.
