624th Civil Engineer Squadron

The 624th Civil Engineer Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, is comprised of multiple Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force and Firefighting teams ready to support rapid worldwide deployments to construct and maintain airfield and facilities, provide firefighting support, and coordinate planning for any real world disasters. 

Peacetime: Train and equip personnel for rapid deployment worldwide and to meet all contingency requirements to include Prime BEEF responsibilities.

Wartime: Provide PACAF and combatant commanders with skilled personnel and necessary assets to prepare and sustain installations on a global basis, maintain airfield facilities, and provide fire-fighting support.

Heritage

The 624th Civil Engineer Squadron was constituted on Sept. 9, 1994 and activated in the Air Force Reserve on Oct. 1, 1994. Assignments include the 512th Support Group on Oct. 1, 1994, and the 622nd Regional Support Group from Jan. 1, 1995 to Dec. 31, 1995. The squadron was re-activated and assigned to the 624th Regional Support Group on Jan. 1, 2002 and remains in that assignment to the present day.
