The 624th Regional Support Group and Reserve Citizen Airmen employers participated during an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve event March 1 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

The ESGR event, which was hosted by the 154th Wing of the Air National Guard, included a presentation about the Guard and Reserve and tours of static displays and flight simulators for the KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft.

“ESGR provides an opportunity for us to meet with our Airmen’s employers and show them what their employees do when they’re wearing the uniform,” said Col. Kenneth Lute, 624th RSG commander. “We’re one team … having employer cooperation and support increases the diversity and readiness of our Reserve Citizen Airmen, and reinforces our execution of defense capabilities.”

The event included employers from the islands of Hawaii and Oahu. ESGR is a Department of Defense program established to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers.
