She said the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego used to give the new Marines just finishing boot camp a list of reputable tattoo shops in the area but stopped doing that. She said after boot camp the Marines are gung-ho to get a USMC tattoo and may not choose the tattoo shop wisely.
